New Year’s Transportation Plan

1⃣Regarding Entry Planning

(1) Free Shuttle Buses:
● Red Line: From the rear of Taoyuan Train Station to the Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station platform (direct to the venue), with services starting from 18:00 on December 31.
● Green Line: From Yuanghua Road in Zhongli to MRT A22 Laojie River Station, then transfer to the metro to A18 Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station, with services starting from 18:00 on December 31.

(2) City Buses: 170, 171, 206D, 208, 302, 707, 5087

(3) Airport MRT: On December 31, 2023, from 06:00 am to 11:00 pm on January 1, 2024, the service will run continuously for 41 hours. Currently, the Airport MRT has 22 stations, starting from A1 Taipei Main Station and ending at A22 Laojie River Station, passing through Taipei, New Taipei, and Taoyuan. Residents along the line are welcome to take the Airport MRT to A18 Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station, which is close to the New Year’s Eve celebration venue.

(4) For those driving: There are plans for free parking areas for cars and motorcycles, as well as opening up some red and yellow line parking spaces around the venue. Additionally, there are many public and privately operated paid parking lots in the vicinity of the venue, making it convenient for those driving.

 

2⃣Regarding Exit Planning

 

(1) Additional Free Shuttle Buses: In addition to the existing Red and Green lines, additional routes will be available:
● Daxi Line: Departing from the Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station platform, following the 5096 bus route (towards Bade and Daxi) with stops along the way. Buses start at 01:00 on January 1.
● Longtan Line: Departing from the Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station platform, following the 5053 bus route (towards Bade and Longtan) with stops along the way. Buses start at 01:00 on January 1.

 

(2) Extended Service Hours for Existing City Buses:
● United Bus 208: Departing from the Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station platform, following the United Bus 208 route (towards Bade) with stops along the way. Buses start at 01:00 on January 1.

 

(3) Airport MRT operates continuously for 41 hours.

 

(4) Taiwan Railways will add special trains early in the morning on January 1st for the New Year’s crowd dispersal:
● Northbound: 1022
● Southbound: 1305, 1309, 1313

3⃣Thoughtful Services Onsite:

(1) Night Owl Food Market:
After the party ends, don’t rush off. You can visit the Night Owl Food Market at the event venue. With over 50 to 60 food stalls and food trucks, it’s a great place for everyone to enjoy a variety of tastes.

(2) Keeping Company While Waiting for Transportation:
In response to the New Year’s Eve crowd, the Taoyuan Metro Corporation’s Station Service Center has formed an energetic and youthful group called the “Trendy Squad” to interact with the enthusiastic public attending the New Year’s Eve celebration. The “Peach Energy Midnight Party” will perform at the A18 Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station Concourse starting just before the event disperses, interacting with the crowd waiting for transportation and extending the lively atmosphere to welcome the auspicious and prosperous Year of the Golden Dragon in 2024 until the passenger dispersal at the station is complete.
